Symbolism in "Tu B’Schevat“– by Erik Kučera
This image celebrates Tu B’Schevat, this new year for Trees.
We see here that the tree which grows is a fruit tree. The fruit is shaped like a heart, as it is with love and nurturing that the little seed from which the tree begins then develops and grows into a lovely tree. Is it not a miracle to see how from just a little seed a tree can grow from which many more wonderful seed bearing fruits can grow and thus in turn bring us more trees and more life?
Bellow one sees the universe, is not a seed much like a universe unto iteself. From this tiny little object grows a mighty tree, which gives us oxygen, helps clean the air, give protection and homes to animals and people, to give food and so much more, like a universe all within it’s beautiful branches.
Let this season be celbrated by enjoying the bounty of the Holy Land and remember that „man is a tree of the field“.
